phone cradle question

can anyone please tell me why this will not work in my 2002 c class which is prewired with a nokia cradle in the centre rest cheers

I do believe the this will only work on a 2004 car as the link says, phones are not my best point but I believe the system is different

Yes it would do that, its cheap enough

Does your cradle unplug?
I didn't thing any of them did until 2004 - hence no it wont work as you can't plug it in.

well, if your car has the newer interchangeable UHI cradle then I can see no reason why it shouldn't work, but I'm surirsed as I was pretty sure they weren't installed until mid 2004. e.g. a late 2003 E class I looked at before buying mine had the older fixed cradle. Not necessarily a bad thing now given the gizmo Alfie sells on his web site but with yours being a 2002, i'd make sure.

A 2002 C Class would not be pre-wired for the current phone cradles as the ebay item implies. Basically the only phone cradle that will work in your car is the one you already have

how can you tell if its a UHI cradle??? , i'm trying to upgrade my phone kit and getting nowhere
