I use T-Mobile which is £15/month as a sim only contract. Not immensely cheap but it's on a rolling month basis and you can cancel any time.

I used PAYG from Tesco in my CL215 before I upgraded to UHI. As I was simply redirecting calls from my regular mobile to the car's phone and hardly made any calls from the car that worked out the cheapest.

As an Aberdonian I too use PAYG - absolutely fine if you only ever receive calls and rarely make them!

Is it an old fashioned sim - credit card size?
If so then no they are exactly the same - the sim bit is anyway - most new sim cards still come credit card sized but you normally pop out the sim bit for smaller (all current) phones.

So buy a card, don't pop it out, and it will fit fine. Alternatively, if you already have a small sim you want to use, you can get converter cards that they clip into to make them bigger again.

I'd pop into any high street phone shop. Given that all new sim cards still come credit card sized and are popped out to put into modern phones, (effectively leaving an unused converter card) I suspect they'll have dustbins full of them behind the counter.
