Phone Holder for Flip Case

I've been struggling to find a good phone holder for Iphone 6S Plus with an otterbox strada (sideways flip case ) I like the flip as it protects the screen as well but when you fold it back the phone then is too thick for most holders I used one of these for a while and it kind of works but only just and the phone easily comes out inconveniently at times on rough roads etc and the vito isnt a limousine ride either also they dont last long the wing bit of the holder breaks after about 12mths so anyone solved this ? I tried the magnetic job but it wasnt holding it strongly enough works alright until you start pressing the display to input a google maps destination etc then its no better than the solution above so either there is a "thick " phone holder somewhere or maybe i should go for a flip case that flips over the top as distinct from the side but i do stand by the otterbox flip cases as I've dropped it many a time never a mark or an issue
