I have just taken delivery of a 2004 (54) CLK270 CDI. I have purchased a phone cradle and placed my phone in it. It can read all my phone numbers and also receive calls but there seems to be no microphone as the caller keeps saying 'hello - hello - I can't hear you'.
Any suggestions...I have turned up the volume but no good.
Thank you in anticipation

Start by removing the cradle, blowing any dust out of the connectors and re-inserting it. Normally connection faults are just down to dust though as you don't know how long its not been working it could be the mic.

I had this very same problem (strange how it's the same problem and not that you can't here them !) I keep getting it every now and then. On mine I think it's a connection between the cradle and the mounting in the arm rest as I disconnect it and reconnect it and all is well.
