Hi Guys,
I have a phone kit fitted to a 2000 E320CDI, with command system.
The phone crade is not one of the newer clip in/out ones but seems to be hard wired in. It is fitted into the centre arm rest and has a curly phone cable that dissapears into the depths of the armrest, Once the phone is clipped in the actual cradle can be lifted to use as a handset. The part No on the cradle is 203 820 06 51.
I have a Nokia 6310i that works perfectly, when not fitted to the cradle.
It clips in place just like it should into the crade....But does not work the command screen says no phone connected. I suspect the system is designed/set up for an older model of phone, that is the same shape and connections as the 6310i.
Now the question......
Does anyone know the correct model phone for this cradle?
Is there a way to upgrade this system easily & cheaply to make it compatible with the Nokia 6310i or better still a bluetooth upgrade that integrates with the command system and steering wheel controls.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Regards
Vern
