He must have taken his test some time back as there are no L plates on it

You need to take a test to ride a motorcycle ..clarkson would suggest that it should be carried out at the nearest psychiatric hospital after extensive tests

As he passed his car test quite a few years ago as long as he has passed his CBT he won't need L plates on a scooter that size.

I passed my motorcycle test 35 years ago but not in this country. Do you mean going in the figure of an eight for CBT?;)

Interesting reading. No test is required as Blobcat said basic training for bike up to 125cc. Jeremy did underwent the basic training. The cost

"Sure, the 125cc Vespa I tried can be bought for £3,499, but then you will need a helmet (£300), a jacket (£500), some Freddie Mercury trousers (£100), shoes (£130), a pair of Kevlar gloves (£90), a coffin (£1,000), a headstone (£750), a cremation (£380) and flowers in the church (£200).
"

125cc is quite adequate, I had one 30 years ago with 50cc(or 150 can't remember) Vespa is adequate.

Yes.

If a full car licence was obtained before 1 February 2001 it is not necessary to complete a CBT course to ride a moped.

No further test required. Just buy your favourite bike under 125cc and away you go. Aprilia seemed very reasonable.

In my line of business CBT stands for Cognitive Bahvioural Therapy - one of the more effective forms of psychotherapy, and probably just the thing for potential motor cyclists?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I done some research. Jeremy article confusing. According to DVLA website, if you passed your car test before 1 Feb 2001, you can ride a moped up to 50 cc without having to take a test or CBT.

Don't understand how he managed to get away riding a 125cc bike without taking the test but just completed CBT.

Anything above 50 cc up to 125cc a test is required plus CBT to get category A. Cannot ride a bike above 125cc for at least 2 years after passing test before can ride above 125cc.

He must have passed because afew years ago he did a show about Monaco and rode a Duke 996 around the F1 circuit

Quite reasonable at that, my first suit was well over £1,200.

You expect that price for an all in one though. My jacket didn't even break 300 sheets and it has all the armour in. Dainese as well so not exactly at the cheap end of the the market.

A bad start last night, not worth watching. How did they interleave Hamilton performance when it was filmed last Wed? Clever editing?

They didn't, they firstly congratulated him for winning then commiserated him for losing. They then made fun of recording the show on Wednesday. I thought it very funny although it would have been nice to know how much faster the Porsche was.

My partner is having a 2 piece set of Crowtree's made at the moment and with the armour and back protector built in the jacket and jeans will be well over £900. I've had Crowtree's since 05 and wouldn't want to crash in anything else.
