Hi
I have a 2022 315CDi, I notice there is a pipe underneath the vehicle which has come loose. It is located just behind the nearside front wheel. I can push it back into the hole but it just comes loose again, anyone knows what this pipe is and how important it is that it goes back into the hole. Photo attached, pipe marked A and hole marked B

Should it go into that silver pipe from the exhaust box ?
Is it an adblue pipe ?

No idea I'm afraid...I thought it should be connected to the hole marked 'B' !!

That hole just looks like a chassis hole, strength and weight reduction, rather than a connection

+1 to my simple, non-mechanical mind, that seems the obvious answer!

Looks like it should fit into the silver pipe above it.

Has the car got an auxiliary heater ?.
Had a x5 with the same looking pipes and that was the air intake and the silver looking one was the exhaust.

Yes it does have auxillary heating - does that mean it should go in hole 'B' or the silver pipe ? Thanks

B i would think.
Looks like ait intake so putting it on the silver would feed exhaust fumes into it not good.
I could be wrong as i am new to the world of Mercedes but been a mechanic all my life retired now.
Bmw have this system as well and others i would think but not sure.

More curious where the black pipe goes too? is it an air breather for the tank? That looks like a non return valve on the pipe. Wouldnt be suprised it was to take diesel fumes from the tank and filter them out through the exhaust.
