Hi all,

I'm looking for the plastic "sill" for the boot on my 2000 E200 K (W210), as well as the plastic bits that wrap around to the left and right of the boot. I can't seem to find them on eBay - perhaps they've got a different name?

I gave someone a lift to the airport, and he repayed me by trying to cram his oversized suitcases into my boot, cracking the plastic down by the latch mechanism. Not only that, the plastic wrap-around parts are scratched to hell... Lesson learned - place the bags in the boot myself from now on!

Got a scratch on the rear bumper as payment for a similar favour.
I'd get the trim from a breaker. Dronsfields Nr Manchester or MercMan in Southampton should be able to help.

Don,t exclude buying new from MB, as I have replaced various bits of trim in my AMG, and for plastic trim I have found them to be quite reasonable.

no probs, even though i posted how cheap various plastic and trim is, i,m surprised exactly how cheap that is, i was expecting £20-25.
For that price it seems to defeat the object of going to a scrap yard.

I'm just going to double-check before ordering it, but I'm 99.9% sure that is the part in question.

I've got to sort out a few other bits and bobs and the aul gal will be better than new.

Other than the boot plastic, the only things left to sort out in the interior are the console clock and gear indicator (a common w210 problem I've learned), the wee thumbwheel lights on the vents that have burned out, the driver's side vanity mirror cover and the driver's side door trim.

Because she was left sitting in the blazing sun for part of the summer, the wood trim on the driver's door warped a bit. If I can't bend it back into shape, I'll look at replacing that as well.

I'm really happy that the resources to sort these various parts exist here in the UK, the car is a dream to drive and it can be heartbreaking to see it slowly fall apart.
