Hi all

I hope you all well

OK so I have a 2012, C209, clk220 cdi sport
7-G tronic at 150bhp STOCK, which I have had for many years now and what I would like to do is make some upgrades.

I am going to remove the clk220 turbo (electronic black boxed turbo) (not vacuum) from my car and go bigger and better, so from what I have read and been told by Mercedes specialists, the parts are interchangeable and would basically bolt straight on.
So I would like to take the turbo from a 270 or 3ltr and have the turbo hybrid and then fit onto my car (along with some other mods before rolling road tuned)

Would anyone please tell me which car I can take the turbo (and manifold if needed) from to fit my car please?
Also will I also need to replace the manifold/ buy the manifold with the 270/3ltr turbo to bolt straight on to my car?

Some help and some guidance would be fantastic and very much appreciated

I know that when I change the turbo it will need to be rolling road tuned so that the electronics of the bigger turbo can be adjusted for it to spool up and function properly on my cas as I have already spoke to a number of Mercedes and tuning specialists and this is what they have said to me.

Other mods being done
change the injectors to amg injectors, and increase rail pressure
Airtech/wagner intercooler
Exhaust
K&N filters already done
Breaks and disks upgraded (always nice to be able to stop)

I've been told I will be well over 220 bhp which is good enough as I'm not going crazy

I hope to hear from you soon

Thanks

It would be a whole lot easier, cheaper and more reliable to sell what you have and get a 320cdi.

Why not speak to the tuners on here, I am sure that they could get almost as much out of your 220 with better “drive abilty”. GAD or MSL..
Not sure AMG do injectors for diesels and in mho, K and N filters are no better than stock ones from the MB counter.

Far less hassle and expense but just my two penneth..
or buy a bigger engined car, as no doubt your insurance will increase with the mods anyway..

AMG have only ever made one diesel.
I can pretty much guarantee you won't get AMG diesel injectors.

Hey

Yeah I understand but this is my car, I've had it a number of years, I know my car, its well looked after and never wanted for nothing, I have all the paperwork with it and don't really want to get rid of it.

I'm not really fussed about a bit of work being done to my car and its just something I wanted to do plus it will be a bit of fun doing it.

I'll have a look at some other injectors (any opinions on which ones)?
a friend of mine will help fit everything so it won't cost me anything there, I already have the intercooler, exhaust is done, so all I have to pay out for is the turbo £100 to 200, and to be redone to a hybrid turbo, and the rolling road tuning

Just needed to know what turbo would be be the right one to blot on to mine?
And if I needed the manifold with the turbo?

What photos would you need?
Engine, turbo area?
I don’t ”need” pics but a thread with pics is a nice way to take it all in and learn from it .
