hi everyone, im still quite new to this forum, but i reeallllyyyy need your help.

im 19 and ive got a black 1995 c180 esprit, i bought it for £800 and just spent £600 putting it through its MOT, and thats with my uncle doing it and not charging labour :-D.

anyway im going to order a set of alloys at the end of this week and i was just checking with you lot 2 see if they fit and they wont wreck my car anymore.

http://www.streetdreams.org/wheels/rims/DBL G/105/Chrome Cap - Matte Black Lip

im looking at them in a 19" with 235/35/19 tyres on them, i dont really know if its the right offset but iv bin told that its a 5x112/35 for the front and a 5x112/38 for the back, but on this website you can only have 5x112/35 for front and rear but with the same width.
anyway i just need all the help i can get, cause if i end up spengin like £1200 on alloys and they dont fit im gna start cryin haha

cheers
Duffy

Well first you do need wheels that are hub centric,if you do not do this then you will never be able to balance the wheels.

MB hubs have a rim that centers the wheel, and the bolts just hold the wheel on, unlike other cars that use the bolts to center the wheel

The sizes and ET are here in this chart for your car

so are you telling me i need the 66.6mm rings or i have to find the ones i need?

sorry if i seem so dumb, and thanks for all your help

66.6mm is the size of the mb hub what you need to know is the size of the hole for the hub in the wheel ie if its 72.5mm you will need a set of rings with a 66.6mm inside & 72.5mm outside size so you need the info from the wheel seller or use the ebay link i put on my first post that seller will send you the set you need if you tell him the make size ect

ahhhh good man!!!

rite thats bob on cheers.
what alloys do you guys have on?
because i thought mercedes alloys would be like £7000 or something, and the ones off ebay look like they will fall apart, or wont fit.
and the standard rims are only like 17" and leave the biggest gap in the world between the tyre wall and the arch.

cheers

You can go to 18" and as you go larger the tyre has a lower sidewall so that the overall diameter stays the same and the gap will not change.

The more narrow the tyres the more bumpy the ride,,but young ones do not notice this.

Do an Ebay search there are loads of nice wheels repro at very good prices

Go through some of the photos in the art gallery most people have special wheels

so i cant have a 19" with a 35 profile tyre on, i measure 24" across my standard wheel with tyre, wich is a 15" steely with 65 profile tyres on, and i worked out that a 19" alloy with 35 profile tyre would be about 23-24 inches.

i mean i dont know because i dont have the alloy or anything but would a 19 with a 35 profile tyre on not scrape or catch the arches?
