HI All,

Please help to advise the name of this part !

If you sit on the car, it’s on the left hand side of the engine and it’s close to the power steering pump. I’m in Hong Kong and it’s a left hand drive car W202 C230K – 1997.

After a garage replaced the generator a few months ago, I just find out that this ( ?) part is not screwed up correctly and it’s leaking oil. The screw looks not easy to be tighten up !

Thanks ALL !

A picture from further away would be helpful. It is difficult to get an idea with the current picture.

The unknown part lay near the bottom of the car and I can’t find a good angle to take a good shot of it. That’s the best photo I took and the unknown to me creature located on top of the A/C compressor and under the power steering reservoir’s cap.

Sorry about that and thanks for trying to help me out !

Mainly Mercedes
It’s the air conditioning suction hose. It has a charging port on it, the low pressure charging port. It is attached to the air conditioning compressor with a single bolt.

Thanks Uncle ! Will try to look at it again. I think when repalcing the A/C Compreesor a few months ago, the garage must be in a hurry ( try to find a good reason for him ! ) and did not screw properly with the single bolt ! It's leaking. Will try to tighten it up but the space there it's really very very tight !

Thanks again Uncle !

What colour is the leaking liquid..?
If it is to do with air-conditioning, then I think it will be a push-fit rather than screw-in.

Leaks there have no color, just wet !

There is a screw there didn’t seem to tie up good and will try to push it down tomorrow . But as said, the space there is very tight n most likely that I can’t reach there and try to push it down.

Thanks Mattkh

May someone help to tell me the exact name this part.I want to find any info to try to fix it. Also may have to buy some new part before I try to work on it.

Thanks the photo will show you what I want !

Thanks n good nite gentlemen !

The name is as mentioned above, it is the A/C hose connected to the compressor.
My research shows that there is a O-ring at the end of the hose, which is leaking. You need to get a new O-ring.
I recommend you leave the job for your A/C garage to do.
Regards.
