im going to look at a 1988 300sl next week.Ive looked at the buying guides and they suggest checking for corrosion in the plenum chamber. can anyone tell me how to do this or is there anywhere on the net with pictures i can see how to do this. Other than that the car seems in good condition with aircon and leather with 110k and full history for 11k. also how much would an inspection cost and would i have to take the car to the person inspecting? many thanks for any helpful advice.
