PLYMOUTH TO DAKAR IN A 100 QUID MERC rear suspension problem

hello people, after taking my 123 300D for mot the rear suspension has gone very hard and bouncy . i'm assuming this means the diaphragms in the spheres have expired. it just seemed to be a bit of a coincidence, happening just after having the wheels hanging in thin air when on the ramp . what the cheapest fix ? cheers D HMK
