If it's like earlier C class estates the antenna is incorporated into the rear screen.
By removing the upper trim you might see a pad that should be stuck to the inside of the screen to connect to the antenna, they come off.
I pressed mine in place with UPVC spacers against the tailgate metalwork.

Hi I don't think it is as it has a fin on top of the roof when it's working its spot on then you can drive a 100yards and get nothing but interference

some have an "antenna amplifier" hidden about the car, (many brands do these days) they can give up, there used to be lots of post about on this forum.

the other point is FM is no longer loved as its been due to die since 2012 (phased out for DAB) then 2015 then they stopped talking about killing it off (but seem to be making unusable so you move to DAB by force) alongside other fun with TV and selling of the space out there for telecoms silliness, the signal strength is in decline. TV just went round another round of silliness and now doesn't work at my house !

The roof fin isn’t for audio, that’s GPS, the 204 like the 211 and 212 has it in the side or rear screen and is known fail sometimes

I can never remember which way round it is if I’m honest, but yes I believe it starts there and links into the rear screen as @M80 suggested, though the connections are a little different on the 204 to what was mentioned about the earlier models

which is curious because the dash cam on my Smart interferes with its inbuilt sat-nav .... there are times when it can't see any satellites and other times it can see half a dozen or so .

It’s usually the power supply for the dashcam that puts out wideband RF which overloads the front end of the radio receiver. Get a better quality power supply and route it as far away from any existing cables as possible.

Sometimes I have poor AM radio reception. I guess it is because the aerial is in the rear window as there is not an antenna on top of the car.

My S203 had an antenna amplifier hidden behind the top of the tailgate trim, and from memory a few folk had problems with the amp failing - so I bought a NOS cheap genuine spare, then sold the car so gave the spare to Alex Foti at AMF Automotive! Don't know if the S204 or other models have the same!
