Poor radio reception.

I have owned my w208 cabriolet for nearly 5 years and am fed up with poor radio reception from the rubber ariel, and have now decided to try and do something about it. Anyone have any suggestions - can I fit a different type of ariel?

You have me stumped i thought the CLK aerial was in the rear window, same as the post face lifted W202s.

The coupe has one in the rear window but the convertible has the factory fitted rubber type.

Hi, I take it you have already checked the aeriel and earth connections at the radio itself for security?.

Now the center wire where the aerial plugs into the radio can break as they are so thin, or the fault could be at the amp.

If you trace the aerial wire back to the amp you could tune to a bad station and just hold a small screwdriver in the end of the plug and the would give an indication of the fault being in the amp or the lead
