Sorry posted in wrong post,

Hi to all

And I'm apologising before I even start, for the way I acted/behaved before,I have "grown up" with my attitude now.
A few months ago I wrote that I had a BMW 525,well I suppose fate has a kind of weird twist to it,because I went to see I 500SE today, and it was old one I couldn't believe it.
It is a swap for the BMW,so I may be back in the world Mercedes, all the old magic came flooding back when I drove it.But I forgot to check both front door locks, because if memory serves me they were not working,I have to call in a later tonight to see if I want to swap.
I know I got the missfire sorted with new leads ect,so I really am very tempted, the only thing that really bothers me is if it still doesn't start right away when stopped for a couple minute's eg stopping for petrol, but apart from that well!!.
I know only Matt,Tony and a handfull of other's will possibly reply to this,I can only wish the rest would forgive, but I can't blame you if you won't.
But all I ask is if I do this "deal" could please get some have some help if needed,if not well I suppose there's nothing I can do/say to change your mind's.
Well thanks again to whoever reads this and makes any suggestion's.

Hi Merc.

Dont for gods sake fall foul of the same things again. Take the 500 out for a good test drive, throwing in an italian tune up for good measure, check for smoke, steam and coolant loss during and after the drive and at tickover. When you say about the doorlocks, do they not lock the doors at all, or does the central locking not work?

Good to hear from you

cheers

Hi Matt

At least your still "talking" to me,thanks!,yes when I was out yesterday in it I did take it for a good run as in about 15-20 miles believe it or not,and it was great.
Yes it ticks over fine, mind you the fan belt's starting to slip a little now but apart from that everything's "as is".
This thing with the central locking,it still works using the lock in the boot all the door's still lock, but the locks in either front door's won't work, infact the keys wont even turn, very odd!.
But the BMW well it's an auto and the gearbox is needing repaired which is costly because I allready had a quote of £1500 to overhaull it,and because it's the 24v 525 it's a rare "box",just my luck!.
But I told guy if he wanted to go for a run in it he was more than welcome but he declined the offer. But quite honestly Matt I'm in a bit of quandry,I'm not sure what to do.
You see the BMW is more "modern" looking, the 500SE as you know is very dated, and looks more like a "box" dare I say it,Volvo like.
I still like the interior of the Merc over the BMW,because the BMW is very plain no leather/wood or anything.
So like I say I really don't know, what would you do,or do prefer Merc's over BMW anyway,I know some people prefer one over the other, thanks for anwering Matt.
