After 92000 miles and over 5 years old the 55 has got it's first problem.
She runs fine and smooth but no power. It accelerates at a medium pace just like a 55 with no kompressor, so I'll have to go a see MB on Monday. Could be costly!

Check your MAF and two inlet air valves.

No MAF sensor on these cars, they fuel according to pressure in the manifold and not air flow.

If your lucky it might just be a switch or minor electrical problem, the supercharger works off a clutch system similar to an air con compressor. No signal equals no supercharger.

That explains why I couldn't find them:confused:

Sorted; took the car over to the lads at MB tech in Warrington. They set up the laptop, air sensor tripped the car into emergency mode - they've reset it and all seems ok now - and the lads said FOC - great!

emergency mode is because of the MAFs. Clean it before it happens again.

The 210 was never supercharged, and is equipped with a MAF sensor, very close to the throttle body.

The 211 equipped with M113 Kompressor engine, as far as I am aware, does not have one. The russian site can be misleading at times, as the section for 211 E55 AMG is actually listed as E55 ML AMG, and shows under air cleaner just about every engine type fitted to W211 E class.

I stick with those that say no MAF on supercharged AMG engines. Fuel load calculated by MAP sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure)

There is a MAF in my Kompressor slk R170, it not located immediately after the air filter on the driver side but instead on the passenger side. The filtered air loop underneath the radiator and up again. You will find the MAF with a plug with four flat pins.

Indeed there is, but that is not an AMG engine!
