- 2017 E class 220d. W213.
Greetings all,
I have recently upgraded the W211 for a W213 E class and am over the moon!
However, on the odd occasion (especially on a cold morning), when I open the power boot, it makes a horribly loud clanging noise when it opens fully. It almost sounds like it locks into position.
Because she's under warranty, the local stealer has seen her three times and have no clue what is causing the noise.
They have changed the motor assembly, the locking mechanism and realigned the cable (so they tell me), but the noise persists.
Does anyone have a clue what it could be?
Could it be an earth problem (shooting in the dark here!)?
I have a video of the noise and when it happens if that helps?
