I am having re-occuring problems with power loss on my '89 420se.
If i put my foot down a little bit hard I get a loss of power, the car feels as if it is being starved of fuel and missfires.
The same problem seems to occur when going uphill, this could be because the engine is workng harder, as in the same as putting your foot down.
This first occured a couple of months back, it improved quite a bit when i put a can of injector cleaner thru the fuel system. I had already booked it in for a tune up, It came back from that with a virtual clean bill of health and ran much better for about 600 miles. Now the problem is back with a vengance.
Any suggestions of where to start with this would be appreciated. Im not sure if it could be any or all of the following, injectors, fuel filter, fuel pump ???
By the way where is the fuel filter on a M116??
