Have had a number of issues with the app recently not synchronising on status and showing the following message; Power Supply On Remote control deactivated.

It took me a few days to work out what is causing this error and how to fix it. I’ve read some reviewers about same or similar issues and nothing was clear on how to fix it.

However I managed to fix this issue with the app by simply going into the app menu - the 3 bars top left corner then under your name select comfort services then manage services. You’ll then have the option to deactivate / activate remote services. Turn off remote services then back on again noting it takes a few seconds in between deactivation and activation.

Once you have deactivated and then deactivated the remote services the issue should be solved and no more Power Supply On error etc.

I trust this helps.

Thanks.

Dan

Welcome Dan and thanks for that. I did get that message a couple of times but it has gone away since so I never got round to doing anything about it, I am still, sometimes, getting “Car is Unlocked” message when I’m driving it and about 10 minutes into a journey!

Edit… just checked my app and it’s different to what you describe. Maybe you have MBUX system in your car which has a different app interface? I’m using iOS (Apple).

I'll give this a try. My pre MBUX system started giving the occasional "Power supply on" and "Doors unlocked" messages after an automatic OTA update to the communications module on 08/11/2022.
In my iOS app it's required to click on the three bars top left, select the vehicle then "Manage services". I've disabled all services individually then selected "Activate all services".

You should be able to access your “my services” then go th comfort then you will see this menu where you can deactivate and then re-activate the remote control service.
Yep, I’ve got that. Will bear it in mind if I get the message again.

Hi Dan, welcome to the forum. Your knowledge will be invaluable to many members here. Please stick around, this thanks to people like you is the best forum out there.

Not just MB forums but pretty much everything. I now Belong to a VW forum and you get plenty of views but zilch responses. No comparison at all to this one
