Power tailgate on W204 Estate not working.

Hi guys, I have a 2009 W204 estate (C-180), recently the tailgate open warning was coming on, the car went to a mechanic who tightened the lock mounting bolts, now the tailgate unlocks and locks fine but doesn't open or close by itself. There is no sound of a motor running or any relay clicking. Is there a switch/sensor on the lock body? I think the lift/close mech is not getting the signal to operate but I can't find any info about where or how to check, is there a control module? A relay? A microswitch?
I have searched for days for info and can find nothing, I really hope you can help.
Oh, everything else seems to be working fine.

Hi Foxhat, I've checked to 40A fuse (position 61 I think), it's fine. Are there other fuses associated with the tailgate?
