Powerfold mirrors w209

Looking for some help with mirrors please.

Have only had my car few days. When driving the mirrors where vibrating badly

Tonight I have turned the powerfold option on from convenience setting and pressed button to close the mirrors which they did but they won’t open again

There are a few very thin black wires that go through the pivot of the mirror. Folding and unfolding the mirrors eventually breaks one or more wires.

If this is the case, then the broken wires can be repaired. This happened intermittently on my old CLK, so I just disabled the auto close feature.

You could give it a go yourself if you feel confident, but may best be left to an auto electrician.

Hi Is the indicator light in the door mirror detachable from the main body. In other words can they be replaced if they stop working. If I'm not mistaken they are LED

but normally yes. They are located in the housing.
