Don't get me started on this subject!

The 2032/2132 one, as above, is still available as NOS from MB for around 1100€. I bought one (dated 2003) in Bochum rather than paying that sort of price for a used one. Someone said that the price in the UK was close to £1000. MB in France wanted 2300€ with a generous offer to discount to 2100€.

The EPC lists A0105459532 (Bosch 0027400736) or A0105459632 (Siemens: 5WK6 K30571HR1) as being the original fitting to my M104.980 engine. These are no longer available from MB. These are significantly cheaper on the used market than the 2032/2132.

There are other variants that are not listed for mine and these may be for other markets such as US California, etc., possibly to address lower fuel quality. Not sure.

Some operators are listing "repaired" examples at anything from 400€ to 1000€ but I've never heard from anyone who's had one. I emailed one operator about repairing mine and received no response. I have 3 dead ones (1 x 2132 and 2 x 9532) so I was keen to see if repair is possible.

Yes, these things are increasingly rare and it's well worthwhile maintaining your ignition system in tip top condition and ensuring that the EZL is thermally connected to the bulkhead to dissipate heat effectively.
