Hi
I am (very reluctantly) considering parting company with my beloved 1980 280E auto saloon. I was going to post a classified ad but there seems to be much more lively discussion here in the forums so thought I'd see if there was any genuine interest, before placing an actual advert.
The car is pretty much as pristine as you'll get, having spent all of its life in a garage. I'm the second owner, and the car has every receipt from new (full MB service history!) and is MOTd and taxed for a year. It has 4 new tyres. Most amazing of all... it's done just 82,000 miles from new. It has just had a thorough service at Klasse in Fulham, and they changed the fuel pump and did some other repairs. Amazing eh?
So as you can imagine, the interior is like new (charcoal velour) and the white paintwork is very good too, apart from a couple of scuffs. No rust. No dents. No bits falling off. Quite a high spec, too, with cruise control, electric windows all round, and a 6 CD changer in the boot (that was added in 1992).
If you are a W123 lover and you have a genuine interest, let me know. Please be sensible.
Not sure if posting this message is against rules - sorry if it is!
