I noticed twice now that if I run the volume up fairly loud the left front door speaker quits. With time (sitting off) it again operates.

I checked the POs paperwork and found this speaker had been recently replaced.

I am thinking the Bose amp may have a cutoff or some sort of protection that causes this to happen. Maybe the speaker itself was not at fault.

Any suggestions where to start looking?

To be sure, why not change the two fronts speakers over, and you will get the answer.
