Hi All

MY brother in laws gearbox appears to have gone west. It was working OK then it just gave up. It slips between changes. The fluid in the box is a dull grey colour and smell like it is "burnt". Is this:

A the dreaded Glycol problem

B Terminal?

The car is the first of the round headlights (w210 I think). 1995 N reg with 160K on the clock.
Any advice really welcome.
Cheers!

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
No glycol issues on a 210.

The first thing to do is to change the fluid and filter , this solves many a problem, about £170 all in from a good indie
