the burning question is will it be as simple as buying projector lamps for my w203 face lift and straight swap or is it best left alone ?...................

If you mean going over to Xenon, its a big job to do it correctly

well i not so long ago fitted a hid 6000k kit to the car and looks good but would like to go with the projector look now lol............

Projector (halogen) units will be a straight swap.

The HiD kit is illegal (but will simply fit the new projector units)
