Hi, Can Anyone Help I Have A Problem With My Hood 230 Clk 52 Plate,
Pressing The Button To Fold Hood Nothing Happens,windows Come Down When Realise Catch When Press Hood Realise Button Just Makes Clicking Noise From Boot,have Just Bought This Car No Manuals With The Car On Order,does The Ignition Need To Be Turned Off Before I Start Putting The Hood Down,also Battery Was Very Dead As Was Setting Long Time Topped Up Battery Fluid Was Very Empty Neeeded 2 Bottles To Fill, Thanks.:(:(:(

You do need a fully charged battery, and yes the ignition should be on, and do try it with the engine running.

Hi,if Battery Aint Fully Charged Does It Stop Roof From Opening,also How Long Should It Take To Charge From Drained,battery Is 12v 450a,lift Over Night Still Not Charged,thanks.

This depends on the state of the battery, if one cell partially open circuit it may never charge, and also the output from the charger.

Trying to start a car with a poor battery puts a huge load onto the starting motor as the cranking amps go up, the same goes for a pump motor, if the voltage termed as pressure is low then the amperage will go up causing damage from the heat generated within
