just to ask you guys about a 1997 SL320 5 speed auto I have been offered 88k nice car, good history any thing to worry about on these , do they have rust problems like other models of this year , many thanks.

No rust on these cars, the only thing is the hard top and they can have bubbles on the bottom corners, they are made of ally. The rest of the car is how you see it

Check front bottom ball joints for play/noise and headgasket for oil leaks.

Early 5-speed boxes had a few issues so make sure you test gearchanges and modes individually.
