Is it worth buying a comprehensive warranty which is not from Mercedes like RAC warranty. I've always been told that buying these warranties is just a waste of money. I've had a quote from RAC and it would cost me £250 for one year for a W202. Anyone knows of any reputable company that sells this warranty at a cheaper price. Thanks.

RAC is as good as anyone else. If the clutch fails it will cost twice that to replace. Green Flag also do warrantees.

A clutch is not covered under warranty unless it is contaminated with oil they just put clutch failure down to wear and tear or riding the clutch the same applies to brakes and shockers. also read the small print about servicing etc because they all look for a get out clause when you try and make a claim.
