Pure Highway 300Di

Hi all,

Thought I'd start a new thread from the AutoDAB one, as I've now had a Pure Highway 300Di installed in my B160.

I initially had problems with my original installation a few weeks ago, however Pure have been very helpful and a new unit was fitted (at their expense) at my preferred car audio garage, Accutek in Winchester.

So far so good. It performs very well and the installation has been done discretely.

I will try and do a full review in due course, but I need to be out the door for work in 15 minutes and tomorrow is of course Mother's Day, so one will come eventually.

Thank you for such an in-depth review. I really considered this an option but personally i wont take it any further. Wasnt happy with an aerial stuck on the glass even though i know it seems pretty unobtrusive.

Alpine have just released their own version of the Pure device. It is actually the Pure device spruced up to look like an Alpine OEM component and Alpine have worked with Pure to develop this. There are a couple of enhancements over the Pure device like having a choice of button LED background colours (such that you can match the DAB unit display colour to that of your existing radio and dashboard display LED colours) and I think there may be slightly more options as you scroll through the menus. There is one big difference that will be of interest to you in that the aerial is a film type to be installed on the inside of the front or rear windscreen.

I spoke to someone at Alpine at a recent exhibition and they advised that they had spent significant time researching and developing the internal aerial to the point that they are happy to release it to the market. Time, and the consumer, will tell how this aerial performs but I would doubt that Alpine would release this to the market if they did not think that it would be up to the job.
