Can anyone tell me what the large triangular ! warning light with VDO under it means in a Mercedes C280?

Orange/Yellow light with an exclamation mark?

It means the ASR is switched off as far as I know....

On my C36 it means the rear wheels are in the process of/have lost grip.

I don't have traction control and this 'idiot light' is a wonderful reminder i'm NOT Michael Schumacher....LOL

my girlfriend calls this big light the c*nt light - as it only comes on when im driving like a c*nt!

on steady = ASR (traction control) switched off
on flashing = ASR doing somthing (i.e. you are sliding, and its trying to correct it)

note - when OFF (i.e. when lit) the ASR is 'semi' ctive - it never turns completely off. turn off (i.e. light lit) to allow wheel spin to get out of mud / snow / ice
