Hi
I had the top off the engine yesterday 'cos a diesel return flow pipe had come off.
I noticed that when the engine was running there were bubbles blowing from deep down in the bottom of the reccess where the injectors screw into the head. I had just driven ca 100 miles so the engine was at temperature.
I am sure that I have read somewhere that at the bottom of the injector there is a small hole in the side of the seal. Is this normal that air or diesel should be blowing from around that area (where the injector in screwed into the head) causing bubbles to form?. My instincts say no, no, no.
This was happening on all the injectors apart from one. So one is good or five are good.
If the injectors are bad how much to replace/recondition them or could it be that the seals have gone. The engine runs and starts fine, cold and hot
Anyone any ideas
Cheers
Adrian
