you have not said the width of the wheels.

The original wheel will be of the order of et42 but as you go wider you need a lower et.

My 7.5 inch wheels run et 35 and just clear the 4 pot calipers which are standard on E320 coupes

get one fitted and see, do you want me to come over later in the week and fit one to the TT for you, put you mind at rest.

When are you going to get the tyres fitted, least that way the cars weight can be put down and clearences checked.

On the WIS they list of AMG alloys for the 124 coop go from ET28 right through to ET42 !!!! but the front wings have to be removed to clear the tyres.

cheers jib

as mel & gav were at the pod on sunday and rich is unreliable it did not get tested after you left

ill get them to try a wheel only this week

as soon as the wheel fits then ill get 1 tyre put on at rich's place in st ives as then if anything needs changing ive only used 1 wheel

once thats done ill stick them all on the TT to see how they work

luckly the black coupe has normal suspension and they might fit ok

i need some bumper work done so if the front or rear arches need a quick tickle im sure he will do that too

ET28 to 42! thats probably why every web search came up with different numbers

thanks again for all your help sunday

the rim sizes and the clearance of inner rim / tyre to the suspension bits, and the spokes to caliper are needed.

also offset ...sorry mate one wheel is gonna have to come off
