I know this subject has been touched on before but has the jury come back in on how to deal with recharging old system with R12.
My trusty old W107 300SL '89 needs a shot, and I'm having difficulty in getting anyone to oblige out here where the rain falls mainly on the plain.
Has anyone had recourse to using Isceon 49 (drop in replacement for R12 refrigerant) from Autokool
"NO NEED TO RETROFIT AND CHANGE OIL.
REFRIGERANT COMES WITH REUSABLE PIERCING VALVE, CHARGING HOSE WITH 1/4" FLARE OUTLET.
CONNECT TO SUCTION SIDE OF SYSTEM USUALLY MARKED (S) AND RELEASE REFRIGERANT USING VALVE.
CYLINDER CONTAINS APPROXIMATELY 1KG OF REFRIGERANT MORE THAN ENOUGH TO CHARGE THE AVERAGE CAR."
A testimonial, or a 'stayahundredmilesawayfromit-monial from someone who has used this stuff would be really appreciated.
