Hi to you all

Does any body have the following information for an 86 300 SL

A picture of an original boot .............how was it laid out was it supplied with Trangle and first aid kit........tool roll consisted of what?

How were the sides of the arm rest finished in terms of chrome trim etc my passenger side just has a hole not right I think.

Any help would be great as I would like to get it as original as possible.

all that flattery will get you somewhere

I'll try and itemize my tool roll when I get home. There should be a reversible screwdriver, a wheel brace, a wheel fitting aid, a couple of open-ended spanners, and maybe something else. Sadly, the original MB warning triangle never came with the car, but I think it lived in the little well behind the panel on the right of the boot as you look to the front of the car, where the jack lives. There weren't any fixings for it on the boot lid on my 85 model. There is a special holder available for the first aid kit, but I think that might be more an SLC thing, or as a special for mounting the kit in the cabin. As far as i can guess, the Sl first aid kit lives in the panel with the jack and the triangle. It's ages since I looked around the boot properly, maybe this will give me an excuse.
Here pictures of a door trim being removed. you can clearly see the little chrome trim at the top of the arm rest in the last picture There is also a little chrome backing plate behind the door lock/release in the third picture. They also shows all the other chrome trim bits on the front and back ends of the door.

Here's a first-aid kit holder for the front footwell.

The warning triangle should be on a white background with the red reflective triangle around the edge and not all red as supplied in todays mercedes models. It fits on the underside of the bootlid so visible when the bootlid is fully open
