Hi,

Removed heater control face plate today to find that there were a couple of thin "fibre optic" cables and a couple of plastic cables with rubber tubes on the end, NOT connected? I've put them in logical places (methinks?!) ... the rubber tubes on the back of the headlamp adjust switch and the fibre optics onto connection points attached to bulb holders?

Was I right?!

Sounds like you got it right. The tubes are vacuum pipes (try your headlamp up/down) and the 'fibre optics' share the switch lighting around.
