I presume you know the lights have to be on to get this to work????

Sounds like a relay or fuse but I cant help locating it

I have the same problem plus the main washers do not work - I am having difficulty finding any kind of circuit diagram that includes the front washer / wiper system

107 headlight wipers
Hi,
I have the same problem on my 1989 300 SL (107), i have looked into all sorts of things, but in my case i reckon the motor which is high up in side the offside front wing is the problem.
I have just had the front bumper off mine to replace the bumper rubbers and very nearly got the spanners out to take the system off, a new motor is about £225 + vat from Euro Car Parts, Mercedes dont sell them any more.
Like you, i can get water onto the headlight glass, but the blades dont sweep back and forth.
