r129 1999 wing mirror glass removal

I have something lose behind the drivers side glass on mine which rattles when going over bumpy roads and is very annoying. i want to either get the glass out or the plastic covers off to investigate. I have searched high and low on the internet and all video's seem to be of the earlier square shaped side mirrors. I have tried to prize the bezel off, but it dient want to budge and i diont want to snap anything. Can someone tell me how to take these later type side mirrors apart? thanks

iirc, you need to dip the mirror first. This gives access to the top of the glass. Behind it is a thin spring clip which you need to lift up to release the glass. You may be able to see the noisy culprit from there.

Was the mirror glass held in by a nylon knuckle the knuckle splits open as you pull the glass out .This was the old idea maybe its changed now ..Last time i had this tha glass had come of its holder and floating inside
