Query on behalf of an owner on another forum who is struggling for info. (hope this is this in order?);

'R129 bonnet is not catching properly. I think the default position is closed and that the jaws open and catch the bonnet hooks as it falls. Does any kind person know if there is an adjustment mechanism or is it a visit to the Stealers?'

I have no knowledge of the model.
Cheers, Tom.

Dear Tom in an effort to solve your friends problem with 129 bonnet, the normal answer is that when you have pulled the lever "Only held with one screw and locating peg" the lever must be pushed back, otherwise the bonnet will open when you drive along. it works better when the center screw is tight on the handle, try it see how it goes, if you need more info please ask,regards

Malcolm

Where else in the world can you get an answer inside 3 mins

Fast service! You and I will have to get out more Malcolm, we both seem to be here all the time. I do flit between this and 'wheeling and dealing' on e-Bay though!
I'll pass on your info, cheers.
