Hi everyone -

I have a 2002 SL320, and have terrible trouble in trying to close the bonnet - the only thing that seems to work is slamming it from a great height, then sitting on the whichever catch has not closed until it engages!

Is there any way that I can simply adjust the catches so a not to put my baby through all this agony?:(

Many thanks......

Pete

Your Mercedes
2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
first thing to do is to lubricate the two catches/locks
If the above fails you have two rubber topped height adjusting screws, undo the lock nut (10mm) and wind them each down one turn. when set in the correct place the bonnet should be the same height as the wings with just a little movement.
