Hi All,

My '99 SL320 needs a new coolant circulation pump. EPC shows two different part numbers: A0018351064 or A0018351264. Anyone done this before and know which one I need?

Thanks.

Usually the later number is a later part and 12 64 in this case

the VIN tells it all - nil need to guess.

you need to go into the next layer and look at the notes attached to the description.

Thanks all. I did use the entire VIN and drilled down but it still came up with two numbers. As TV says, probably better to use the later part. Have just had a look to see how easy it might be to change. Complete s*d to get to - buried under the brake servo. Ho hum.

Hi,
It could very well be that the other pt. no. is because one of them is for the heated washer bottle option, it is exactly the same pump except it will have an extra pumped outlet for the coolant heating element for the washer bottle.
I looked myself on the EPC and I thought if the pt. no. was superseded it stated it in the text of the EPC.

Always this danger Andy, I did have a paper with the meaning of the part numbers, and the last 2 sets in particular

Indeed EPC does state if a part has been superseded. It will list the original part number with the text "Replaced by [new part number]"
