Apart from a main MB service site any suggestions where Is the best place to find a Crank Sensor to replace my R129’s before a possible hot starting issue / engine idle fluctuations or worse still an engine cut out?
Is it a straightforward job for my mechanic to fit (SL goes in for its MOT next week).

I have read it’s a worthwhile precaution fix worth doing so any experience with this would be very welcome.

Thank you

Is yours an m119 or m113?
Crank sensor failure on the 119 is almost unheard of as I understand it whereas the M113 engine has a bit of a liking for them

Have you tried autodoc website? I'm pretty impressed by them so far in sourcing stuff for my x218

Pretty sure it’s the 119 engine (S706 BGT)
