Hello. Anyone know of a supplier of EIBACH lowering springs at a GOOD price, i.e better than the 230.00 pounds quoted so far!!?? They are for a 1992 SL300.

If not I best get my wallet out.:(

Cheers.

is it just for lowering springs or the dampers as well !? £230 is a bit to much for srpings as there is an ebay shop selling merc lowering springs and dampers (complete kit) for about £235 or £295 (one of them, i forgot the exact).

Cheers BALAL, I have trawled ebay for ages but not turned up anything. I don't suppose you know the ebay shop details?

All the best for now.

Hi again

The shop I was talking about is
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/AUTOFAST-AND-FURIOUS
they are selling the complete lowering set for £225 for CLK. but its worth dropping him an email enquiring about the SL!!

these two american stores ship worldwide and they are selling just the lowering springs for Mercedes SL. $180 (dollars) or so about £113..

http://stores.ebay.com/QUALIFIED-JAPANESE-PARTS

http://stores.ebay.com/LONE-EAGLE-SALES

then there is this performance store, again springs for £140ish

www.europerformance.co.uk

and this website looks very supportive, they havnt quoted prices but its worth calling them even just for chat to see if you need dampers or the ones already fitted will be fine.

http://www.performancealloys.com/loweringkits_springs.asp

hope that helps.

Warning on lowering kits

Hello,

I noted your interest in lowering.

I think the all-in price for the kit is very low and that would worry me - what's the quality like compared to MB original.

I strongly recommend visiting the Bilstein site and looking at their B12 kits (springs and dampers, matched to your car). For my 300CE 24V Sportline (W124) it's around 800 Euro (£550?).

Try Googling for Bilstein B12 suppliers and you might find the right kit for you car.

Bonne chance.

Exactly how low do you want it?!?! Do you know what size spring pads you have?
