Does anyone know the actual weight of a panoramic roof for an SL320 (R129) please.

The reason I'm asking is that I've just received a ceiling hoist for the car roof, which I won on ebay.
It's brand new, still boxed, with a lifting capacity of 100 kilos, made in Germany, and I won it with a winning bid of....(not forgetting I've seen these go for over £100.00) wait for it.........£1 plus £12.99 p&p! from a seller who deals in German car parts. I think he was a bit miffed-it had been relisted after no bids on the previous auction with a starting price of £35.00, so he dropped it to £1.00 to encourage bids, but no one was watching except little ol' me.
Nice to get a real good bargain now and again!
Now all I've got to do is move the ceiling light in the garage, move the bike racks, shift the ladders, move the shelf...etc...etc:D

I had an electric one. When using these hoist, you must mark the floor exactly where the car is going to stand when you lift the roof. you must get a direct in line lift on the roof, a little to one side and the roof can jam on the locating pegs.

I have never had any trouble lifting my panoramic roof off with my girlfriend and she's only 5' 4. The hoists are handy if you've no-one to help though make sure it doesn't swing about!
