r129 roll bar switch

Hi.
My roll bar is stuck up!
Very posh. No but seriously.
The switch face fell of at some point, I put it back together, it was a little pointy thing on a spring and a swivelling bit of metal contact, but I'm not sure if anything went missing. Anyway, now I can only hear it work to put it up, not down, and it is already up. Is this likely just the switch?
Yeah I've already tried the press for 10 seconds thing, no dice.
I know how to get a new one, but they are not cheap.
Any advice? I've seen the Youtubes on the bits underneath, I am looking at them soon (it is not easy to raise this car).

If the switch fell apart it's probably the cause, especially if it worked before it fell apart.

I hope so.
I think it worked, but I only did it once, put it up. So I can't be sure. The fact that I hear it working going up but not down does suggest the switch I suppose.
