hi my roof has stopped working , can hear possible hydraulic noises but no joy , can you confirm if windows/ rollbar have to be up or down before roof operation ? thanks in advance Andy

Lower the windows and roll bar, and it should go down, I think too that you have to do it within 30 sec of turning on but this varies with the different series, and it will always go down with the engine running

Hi Malcolm thanks for reply , its a 1994 model , let me confirm start car , put windows/rollbar down and roof should come down ? . i will try asap and get back to you thanks

Sometimes when these things do not work, a quick battery off for 10 sec can bring things back to normal.

If a top hydraulic lock has stuck,opening with the manual key can help.

See how it goes,, for normal use the roof has to know where the windows and the roll bar are, before it will go down.
One memorizes these things by, holding the window switch in the up mode for 10 sec after the window has closed with the key turned to 2, and the same with the roll bar, hold the switch again for 10 sec
