R129 seat squab removal

Hello,

Anyone able to instruct me on how to remove front seat squabs on my R129 1997. I have managed the seat cushion by removing the 2 screws under seat, but can't see how the backrest squab comes off. Reason I need access to this is because I'm trying to check the pull cables for the seat release. If theres another way feel free to advise.

Hello Malcolm,

thanks again for link, any chance you can run through quickly how the backrest squab comes off. I had the cushion one off, couldn't fiqure out rest.
sure it's me being crap.

These seats are a doddle to take apart but more difficult to put back together!

I have just taken the driver's side cover off the cushion and swapped it for the passenger's side as the car was previouly owned by a heavyweight (aka fat b*****d ) and I wanted to even out the wear. Unfortunately the backrest are different. They come off easily too. Just undo the three torx screws at the bottom of the backrest from behind, pull it forward and down and presto!
