Hi
i've just gone to start my 1995 SL320 after a week and noticed the 2 red led's on the rool bar switch are lit up, on starting the car the roof operating switch is also lit up red. Neither the roof nor the roll bar now work, last weekend they were both perfect? If it helps i have noticed that the carpet on the passenger side is quite wet? Help !
many thanks

Does the car start OK, will the rollbar go up and down.

The water could be the air intake box blocked, hard to say if any connection with electronic.

You could disconnect the battery for 5 mins and try again

Hi
the car starts and drives fine but the roll bar doesn't move nor does the roof. Both the rollbar light and the roof light are on all the time (i think the roll bar light came on first).

I've disconnected it until tomorrow. I have a new 100ah battery i bought for another car which i am charging overnight and will fit tomorrow (as last weekend the car didn't start straight away?) although it did tonight. Will report back.
Do you think water under the n/s front carpet could have shorted something out? under the rear seats (ecu etc) all seam dry. The car was parked nose down on a slopping drive, the rear n/s carpet is wet so the water must be coming in from the back (boot is dry).
thanks for your help

You never know what water can do, once locked up the circuits will not clear without a power down. A good thing to take it off overnight. The 129 has never had a problem with water and electrics, but odd things can happen.

I am away for the day on Sat. If you have no luck, lower the roof manually with the key, this can also bring things back to life.''

Do not forget to normalize everything including windows and roll bar if it will lift in the morning
