Evening all. Dash temp gauge on my 320 1997 isn't working. Strange there is no engine error light on the dash and neither was there if I disconnected the temp sensor. Ran the AC unit error check and getting only a 'current' 416 code (coolant pump). If I understand correctly this coolant pump is for the AC refrigerant and primarily used for the 'rest' function, not the engine coolant pump. That would suggest to me its unrelated. But also in the historic codes are 227, 231 (engine temp sensor), 416, 417, 421. So I've ordered a new sensor as its only £20 for a Merc oem part and hoping that might fix it. But wondering if the lack of an engine error light might mean its the gauge, have read that some SL owners have taken the cluster out and re-soldered.
Also the AC from the central vents is only blowing intermittently, when the unit is on it seems to blow ok from other vents but randomly only on for short bursts from the central one. I'm far less bothered about that though than the engine temp gauge!
Any ideas / thoughts welcome, as always. Cheers
